The Girondines dominated this game from the outset, and Khadija Shaw almost scored with the very first chance of the afternoon - but keeper Romane Munich just managed to intervene (4'). The deadlock didn't last long, since barely two minutes later Viviane Asseyi pounced to slam in from close range and put the Girondines into the lead (1-0, 6'). Emelyne Laurent (10') and Vanessa Gilles (11') both came close to doubling the lead before Khadija Shaw found the net with her tenth goal of the season, capping off a superb passage of build-up play (2-0, 14'). Soyaux were in trouble here, and it took an excellent save from Romane Munich to stop Ouleymata Sarr scoring Bordeaux's third (32'). A few minutes later the French international had her revenge, connecting with a clever ball from Ghoutia Karchouni and firing off a magnificent lob which left the keeper no chance (3-0, 36'). After the break the Girondines took things down a gear, seemingly content to protect their comfortable advantage. Nevertheless, Viviane Asseyi, Khadija Shaw, Ouleymata Sarr and Emelyne Laurent all came close to scoring. In the end it was Ouleymata Sarr who got the fourth, with a close range shot sealing her second goal of the game and fifth of the week (4-0, 82'). A goal which capped off a superb collective performance for the Girondines, keeping up the pressure at the top end of the table.
