Goal of the day: Zidane against Real Betis

On 6th December 1995, Bordeaux faced Real Betis in the last 16 of the UEFA Cup. With just four minutes on the clock, the Girondins' midfield legend fired in an absolutely incredible goal. Gaëtan Huard cleared the ball, which took a deflection and landed at the feet of Zinédine Zidane, a full forty yards from goal. ZZ noticed that the keeper was off his line, and fired off a sumptuous half-volley with his left foot. The ball arced up, over the scrambling keeper and into the back of the net.
