Rémi Oudin has officially joined the Girondins. The striker successfully completed his medical before signing a four and a half year deal with Bordeaux, keeping him here until June 2024.
Born in 1996 in Châlons-en-Champagne, Rémi Oudin started out with local club Sarreguemines before joining FC Metz. He then moved to Stade de Reims at the age of 15, working his way up through the youth teams.
Rémi won the France U19 championship with Reims in 2015, qualifying for the UEFA Youth League the following season and scoring twice in two games. He continued to score and create goals with the reserves before being called up to the first team and discovering life in Ligue 2.
In his debut season 2016-2017 he made 24 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing one assist. The following season was better still, with 6 goals and 7 assists (again from 24 appearances) as Rémi played a major role in propelling Reims to the Ligue 2 title.
Last season Rémi made his Ligue 1 debut, scoring 10 goals and creating four more, a remarkable performance which helped Reims to an impressive 8th-place finish.
After winning youth trophies, being crowned L2 champions and making an explosive debut in the top flight, at just 23 Rémi is an experienced professional with the potential for even greater things. With 24 goals and 15 assists from 111 professional appearances, he will be a welcome addition to Paulo Sousa's squad.
The Girondins de Bordeaux are thrilled to welcome Rémi Oudin, and we wish him every success in the legendary blue and white shirt!
Bienvenue Rémi !
