The disciplinary commission of the Ligue de Football Professionnel has taken a provisional decision to close the Virage Sud. The club would like to take this opportunity to remind all fans that safety inside the stadium is of paramount importance, and that behaviour of the kind seen during Bordeaux-Nîmes is a serious threat to that safety. The closure announced by the LFP will affect the Girondins' next home game, on Sunday 15th December against Strasbourg. As we await the Commission's final decision, which could extend the partial closure to other home fixtures, any further infringements of safety rules could have very serious consequences for us all. Our team needs the support and unity of all those who love and represent our club: the fans, the spectators, the players on the pitch, the coaching staff and all the employees behind the scenes who make the FC Girondins de Bordeaux one of France's greatest clubs. In order to ensure that all supporters, and particularly the Ultras, are able to attend our next game, the Club' directors have decided - for one match only - to offer alternative seating to all fans affected by the closure of the Virage Sud. We hope that this decision goes some way to demonstrating the good will of the club's senior management, and their commitment to dialogue with the fans.
