73rd minute. The Amiens net is bulging yet again, and this time it's Samuel Kalu's fault. With a stunning strike, the Nigerian put the game to bed and sealed three points for the Girondins (1-3). Amiens looked well beaten, as Paulo Sousa jumped around with the rest of the Bordeaux bench. What a performance from Bordeaux.     And yet, things got off to an ominous start for the Girondins when Mendoza fired the hosts ahead in just the third minute (1-0). Thankfully Bordeaux kept their cool and began to fight their way back into the game. Benoît Costil saved a tough shot from Monconduit which could have easily put Amiens two goals clear (6’).       The equaliser came soon enough, courtesy of a magnificent strike from Yacine Adli égalise in the 8th minute (1-1). What a goal! The Girondins were well and truly back in the game. Things then calmed down for a spell, with both sides missing the target (François Kamano, 26’ and Guirassy, 32’).     Just before the break Otavio broke free to set up a show-down with Gurtner, who produced not one but two excellent saves (37’). But there was nothing he could do to stop Yacine Adli, who fired in his second goal with a jaw-dropping free kick in stoppage time (45+1, 1-2).   After the break Bordeaux set about conserving – and expanding – their lead. Samuel Kalu fired his shot just outside Gurtner's top right corner (67’). Six minutes later he was back for more, and this time he didn't miss (1-3). Another late highlight came in the form of the Girondins debut of Youssef Aït Bennasser, replacing two-goal hero Yacine Adli (79').     That was enough to put the game beyond Amiens' reach, and seal three well-deserved points for Bordeaux. Just what we needed ahead of the big game with Paris, this Saturday at 17:30. The Girondins go into that game placed fifth in Ligue 1 Conforama.
