When the referee's whistle finally went, Jaroslav Plasil had his head in his hands. Destiny can be cruel, and this Bordeaux legend's last home game ended in another defeat. His team-mates and opponents all took turns to congratulate him on a stellar career, before he headed over to the Virage Sud for the last time. He even took to the mic to say a few words about his deep attachment to the club.    Two hours earlier Jaroslav Plasil took to the field wearing the captain's armband, applauded onto the pitch by the whole stadium. But fate was not on Bordeaux's side this evening. Courtesy of Suk, Stade de Reims caught them napping and took the lead in just the 2nd minute.   The Girondins spent the rest of the night chasing that narrow lead, but never quite managed it. François Kamano hit the bar (24'), but Jules Koundé had to clear off the line to keep out a goal-bound shot from Cafaro (9').      Benoît Costil then pulled off a superb save to deny Cafaro again (36'). The Girondins knew that the second half was crucial, and they threw everything they had at the visitors. Sub Yann Karamoh and Samuel Kalu turned up the tempo as Bordeaux kept pushing... but Reims refused to budge. Game over. Another narrow defeat for Bordeaux and farewell to Jaroslav Plasil. Au revoir Jaro, and thanks for everything!
