The Girondines had plenty to play for in this game, with that coveted 3rd place in the D1 table hovering into view. Both teams had some promising moments in the opening exchanges, but the first real chance on goal didn't come until the 12th minute, when a Lille corner saw a headed effort bounce off the crossbar. Ten minutes later Lille made their early dominance count, taking an early lead. Polito burst down the right flank and fired in from distance, lobbing Romane Bruneau to nudge the visitors ahead. Bordeaux wasted no time in getting back on the front foot, and almost equalised immediately when Viviane Asseyi narrowly missed the target (24'). Viviane was a constant menace up front, and eventually pulled one back for the Girondins in the 40th minute, notching up her 12th goal of the season (1-1). The Girondines were an entirely different prospect in the second half, playing with much more drive and precision. Nevertheless, they were repeatedly frustrated in front of goal - Claire Lavogez had several shots stopped and Delphine Chatelin was also denied by a last-gasp clearance (54'). The game looked destined to end in a frustrating stalemate, but deliverance came in injury time for the Girondines:  in the 93rd minute Viviane Asseyi picked out Claire Lavogez inside the box, and Lavogez coolly swept past the keeper and slotted home (2-1).
