Lukas Lerager signs for Genova

The Girondins de Bordeaux can now officially confirm the departure of Lukas Lerager to Italian club Genoa. Joining in summer 2017 from Belgian club Zulte-Waregem, Lukas rapidly imposed himself in the Bordeaux starting line-up. He played a full season last year, with 40 appearances including 37 matches in Ligue 1.  So far this season, the Danish international has played 27 times for the Girondins in all competitions. In just a year and a half with the Girondins, Lukas has made 67 appearances including 54 outings in Ligue 1. He has also scored three goals in that time. Lukas is now heading over the Alps to discover Serie A in Genova. The Girondins de Bordeaux would like to thank Lukas for all his hard work and professionalism.  We wish him all the best for the rest of his career.
