Bordeaux made their intentions known from the get-go, dominating proceedings even when they struggled to create clear-cut chances.
The Kolar Show
In the 9th minute
Zaydou Youssouf stepped up to take a free kick 30 yards from goal on the right-hand side. He curled his shot towards the top corner, but Prague keeper Ondreij Kolar stretched out full-length to tip the ball away with his left hand. Same again in the 33rd minute when Andreas Cornelius chested the ball down for Samuel Kalu,
who teed up Zaydou Youssouf for a superb volley which Kolar did well to stop.
The breakthrough
Things really got started after the break, when
Nicolas de Préville scored his first European goal to put Bordeaux ahead in the 48th minute.

The Czechs were rattled and sought to respond in kind, finally creating some chances and putting some pressure on the Girondins. But the defence held firm, and in the final seconds of injury time
Jules Koundé scored a wonderful goal to put the result beyond any doubt!
