The takeover of the Club has been finalized

6th November 2018 is a day which will go down in history for the Girondins de Bordeaux. Long-time owner M6 has finally completed the sale of the club to GACP (General American Capital Partners), with Nicolas de Tavernost confirming the news on Twitter.   The end of an era for M6, and the start of a new one for FCGB. I wish the new directors every success, and would like to thank the Girondins for 19 great years. The "up-and-coming" TV network which bought the club in 1999 has backed Bordeaux all the way over the past two decades, and on behalf of everybody involved with the club we would like to take this opportunity to thank them and salute their commitment to the Girondins. During the M6 era our club has never stopped improving and evolving, working closely with the city of Bordeaux, the Gironde Département and the Aquitaine region, while the owners have also been a steady source of crucial financial backing.
