François Kamano - Guinea 2-0 Rwanda

Guinea took another big step towards qualification for CAN 2019. In Conakry, the Sily National beat Rwanda 2-0 thanks to a goal from Bordeaux star François Kamano (scored from the penalty spot in the 37th minute) and another from Ibrahima Cissé in the second half. Guinea travel to Kigali for the return leg this Tuesday 16th October.

Pablo - Saudi Arabia 0-2 Brazil

Pablo makes his debut with the Seleçao! The Bordeaux stalwart started this friendly, playing an important part in the Brazilian victory. He contributed to the first goal, winning the ball in midfield to launch the attacking movement. This tuesday Brazil face Argentina in the "Superclasico".

Samuel Kalu - Nigeria 4-0 Libya

Nigeria, coached by Ghernot Rohr, faced Libya in the CAN qualifiers. Led by hat-trick hero Odion Ighalo, the Nigerians ran out 4-0 winners. The fourth and final goal came courtesy of the Girondins' own Samuel Kalu, his first international goal. The return leg will be played in Sfax, Tunisia this Tuesday.

Youssouf Sabaly - Senegal 3-0 Sudan

Sabaly started at right back and played a key role in Senegal's comfortable victory over Sudan. Victory in the return leg would seal qualification for CAN 2019.

 

 

Lukas Lerager and Andreas Cornelius - Ireland 0-0 Denmark

Neither of the Bordeaux players made it onto the pitch during this Nations League game. Former Girondin Martin Braithwaite made an appearance, but could not break the deadlock with Ireland. This Tuesday Denmark will play Austria at home.

 

Toma Basic - Croatia U21 2-0 Greece U21

Croatia beat Greece to draw level in the race to qualificy for the U21 Euros. Toma Basic was an unused substitute. The Croats travel to San Marino this Monday.

 

Milan Gajic and Vukasin Jovanovic - Serbia U21 0-0 Austria U21

Both Girondins played the full 90 minutes against Austria, another Euro U21 qualifier. Vukasin captained the team. Serbia face Armenia this Tuesday in their final qualifying game.

Aurélien Tchouaméni - Armenia U19 0-4 France U19

France's U19s thoroughly enjoyed their friendly against Armenia. Aurélien Tchouaméni started and played a major role. The two teams will play again this Monday.
