What a start! Any fans arriving late for the Atlantic Derby would have been sorely disappointed, as the Girondins had effectively tied the game up within 7 minutes. Yann Karamoh struck first, with a shot buried in the top corner in the 5th minute. Two minutes later, Guinean international François Kamano pounced on a weak pass by the Nantes defence. Boom! Another one in the back of the net. 2-0 Bordeaux. The Girondins defended their lead valiantly, looking well-organised at the back and still dangerous on the counter-attack. François Kamano had a few more chances on goal (32’, 38’), and just before half-time he was hauled down by Miazga inside the box. Penalty. Taken and scored by... François Kamano, of course (42’, 3-0).       After the break the pace showed no signs of slowing. Bordeaux were keen to protect their lead, while making the most of the counter-attacking opportunities left by Nantes' increasingly desperate attacks. François Kamano kept on testing Tatarusanu, while Bordeaux keeper Benoît Costil pulled off an acrobatic save to deny Boschila. The game finally began to run out of steam, with Nantes pushing forward as best they could without truly troubling the Girondins.     Three point for Bordeaux, just desserts for their masterful display this afternoon. The Girondins were disciplined, organised and made their chances count.
