Europa League: full marks for Group C

Bordeaux's first opponents, Slavia Prague, continued their near-perfect run in the Czech league. Having scored the decisive goal against the Girondins last Thursday, Jaromir Zmrhal struck again this weekend to seal a narrow victory over Bohemians 1905 (1-0). Slavia Prague are currently top of the league, with 8 wins from 9 games. Meanwhile, in Denmark, le FC Copenhagen made the most of Midtjylland's slip-up to extend their lead at the top of the Superliga. FCK were 2-1 winners over Nordsjaelland thanks to goals from Robert Skov and Danish international Viktor Fischer.  Zenit St Petersburg are also top of their league: the Russian club came out on top in a spectacular encounter with Lokomotiv Moscow. Sergei Sema's side won 5-3 thanks to goals from Oleg Shatov (twice), Aleksandr Erokhin, Artem Dzyuba and Sebastian Driussi. Zenit now have a seven point lead over FK Rostov and Spartak Moscow.
