Martin - "A strike? Not at all!"

Stéphane Martin faced the press for a second time today to announce the arrival of Sergi Palencia. He made it very clear that he did not wish to comment any further on the disciplinary action taken against Gus Poyet (see here for more). However he did wish to address a rumour being spread by several media outlets that the players might be considering a strike: "There was absolutely no strike action from the players this morning. There's nothing more to add. They're upset and we had a long discussion, but there was no strike whatsoever." The first team had a light training session this morning as they recover from last night's victory over Mariupol (2-1).
