Two Girondins celebrating birthdays today

PAUL BAYSSE, 30 A graduate of the Girondins Academy, Paul Baysse returned to Gironde this winter. Born in Bordeaux in 1988, he arrived at Le Haillan in 2004. After three seasons in the CFA, he left for Ligue 2 club Sedan. Paul spent four months with Sedan before moving to Brest, followed by spells in Ligue 1 with Saint-Etienne and Nice. In 2016/2017 he made the move to Spain, joining Malaga. This January, after fifteen appearances in La Liga, Paul decided it was time to move back to Bordeaux. The club were looking for an experienced defender, and Paul was looking for a new challenge - the stage was set for a homecoming. Since rejoining the club, our number 8 has featured in eight matches. Happy birthday Paul ! GEOFFRAY TOYES, 45 Born in Bordeaux in 1973, Geoffray started his career here. He made his first team debut on 15th October 1994, wearing the number 4. Geoff went on to make 84 appearances for Bordeaux over three seasons. After the 1996/1997 seaon he left Bordeaux for Metz, followed by stints with Nancy, La Louviere, Mouscron and Brüssel, where he ended his career in 2010. Happy birthday Geoffray!
