A high-profile summit at Le Haillan

Gabon's FA, successful joint-organisers of CAN 2012 and hosts of CAN 2017, have generously accepted to help out their friends and counterparts in Ivory Coast with the organisation of Africa's biggest footballing event in 2021. The impetus for this meeting came from Henri Walker, ambassador for the Girondins de Bordeaux in Gabon and Ivory Coast. Committed to maintaining and expanding our international profile, the club has long had a keen interest in African football and we were delighted to host these two delegations.
