Girondines grab a point in Paris (1-1) !

For their 18th match of the D1 season, the Girondines travelled to face Paris FC at Stade Robert Bobin. Chances were few and far between in the first half (0-0 at the break), but both teams stepped up the pace in the second period. Paris were first to come close, rattling a shot off Erin Nayler's crossbar (67'). Sarah Cambot responded in kind with a long-distance effort. In the 82nd minute the Girondines finally took the lead courtesy of a stunning strike from Nadjma Ali Nadjim. Victory was within reach... until Clara Matéo carved up the defence and equalised in the final minutes of the match (89'). Paris FC came within millimetres of snatching victory in injury time, but Charlotte Bilbaut's header was cleared off the line. One goal and one point apiece from a tightly-fought match. Next Sunday the Girondines will be in Saint-Jean-de-Luz for a friendly against Athletic Bilbao.
