PAUL BERNARDONI – CLERMONT FOOT 63 – DOMINOS LIGUE 2

Clermont hosted current leaders Reims for their 28th outing of the Domino’s Ligue 2 season.  On-loan goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni started the game, contributing to the excellent collective performance which saw Clermont emerge 2-1 winners. This victory saw Clermont move up to third place in the league. Paul had a very good game, letting in just one goal from an unlucky deflection (45+1’). Clermont travel to Le Havre this Friday at 20:00.

AARON BOUPENDZA – PAU FC – NATIONAL 1

Pau FC hosted Laval last Friday, for their 24th game of the season in the National division (the 3rd tier of French football). Pau were beaten by the narrowest of margins (1-0), with the only goal of the game coming from the penalty spot. Boupendza - joint top scorer in the league, with ten goals so far this season - could not find the net on this occasion. Pau FC are currently 12th in the league, and travel to Béziers this weekend.

DIEGO ROLAN –  MALAGA CF – LIGA SANTANDER

Diego Rolan started against Leganes this weekend, playing on the right side of midfield. Diego and co. were beaten 2-0, their 20th defeat of the season, leaving them rock bottom of La Liga. Malaga's next game is against FC Barcelona this Saturday 10th March.

DANIEL MANCINI – TOURS FC – DOMINOS LIGUE 2

Our young Argentinean midfielder put in a huge performance this weekend with Tours FC. Mancini scored two goals and created a third, orchestrating his side's 3-1 victory over Stade Brestois. In the 13th minute he teed up Florian Miguel inside the box for Tours' first goal. After the break he added two more himself, in the 58th and 63rd minutes. His second goal capped off an incredible, 50 metre solo run. Congratulations to Daniel Mancini and Tours for this superb win. This Friday they play Valenciennes for their 29th game of the Domino’s Ligue 2 season.

VUKASIN JOVANOVIC – SOCIEDAD DEPORTIVA EIBAR – LIGA SANTANDER

Loaned to Eibar during the January transfer window, Vukasin Jovanovic was not selected for the game against Deportivo. His team-mates managed to secure a point, despite going down to ten men in the second half (1-1). Japanese international Inui nudged Eibar ahead early on (11’) but Andone equalised for La Coruna (33’). This draw sees Eibar slip down one spot in the table (8th). Their next game is a big one, against Real Madrid this Saturday 10th March.
