Soualiho Meïté s’engage pour la fin de saison

Born 17th March 1994 in Paris, Soualiho Meïté started out at Gobelins FC before joining Vincennes FC and later AJ Auxerre, where he graduated from the academy and made his Ligue 2 debut in 2012.  Signed by Lille in January 2013, he saw out the rest of the season with Auxerre before making the move to LOSC in the summer. Over the next two seasons he made 30 appearances in L1, before heading out on loan to Belgian side Zulte Waregem with whom he played 52 games in the Jupiler Pro League between 2015 and 2017. He won the Coupe de Belgique in 2017, and was snapped up by AS Monaco. Soualiho has appeared twice for Monaco in Ligue 1 this season.  A promising young French players now aged 23, Soualiho Meïté will provide some valuable reinforcement to Bordeaux's midfield. His physical power and stature (1.87m) will be useful assets during the tough months ahead, putting a fesh option at Jocelyn Gourvennec's disposal. Soualiho Meïté was officially presented as a Bordeaux player after training with the squad this Wednesday.
