Corps de texte
Bordeaux kicked off in rainy conditions, and soon had to deal with Paris' attacking power. The visitors set up camp in the Girondines' half and set about creating chances. Bordeaux looked to play on the counter, but were unable to create much in the first 15 minutes. The first close call came in the 20th minute when Léa Declercq looked to be through on goal. Fortunately, her shot was not strong enough to trouble Erin Nayler. Paris continued to dominate possession, but Bordeaux looked good on the counter-attack and the game was still scoreless after half an hour. Chloé Bornes and Rose Lavaud were looking particularly dangerous on the wings. The break finally came in the 36th minute, when Gaëtane Thiney latched onto a cross inside the penalty box and slammed the ball past Erin Nayler. 1-0 to Paris FC. Anissa Lahmari almost made it two before the break, with her shot slipping just wide (40’). Girondines coach Jérôme Dauba made a tactical change at half-time, bringing on Nadjma Ali Nadjim for Chloé Bornes. Bordeaux had their best chance yet when a messy corner gifted Sophie Istillart the ball on the penalty spot. Just wide! (49’). The Girondines were determined to get back on level terms. And that determination paid off in the 63rd minute! After a charging run down the right flank, Solène Barbance played a one-two with Nadjma Ali Nadjim before unleashing a superb volley! In off the post: 1-1 ! Erin Nayler produced a superb save in the 70th minute to stop a close-range shot from Clara Mateo. The last twenty minutes were frantic, as both sides pushed for the win. Paris took the lead in the 80th minute, when Gaëtane Thiney delivered a cross for Ami Otaki to volley home. But the Girondines were not done yet! Nadjma Ali Nadjma broke free down the left and fired in a cross for Carol Rodrigues, who promptly equalised.  Bordeaux 2-2 Paris FC ! The pace didn't let up until the very end, when on the stroke of 90 minutes Mathilde Bourdieu scored a third and final goal for Paris. Despite some excellent play and great strength of character, the Girondines slipped to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Paris FC. Their next game will be in Montpellier on Sunday 19th November.
