Four games played in the top flight, and 26 goals scored - Jérôme Dauba's knew the scale of the task that faced them in Lyon this weekend. Reynald Pedros's team have walked over all comers so far this term. Worse still, regular goalkeeper Erin Nayler and midfield playmaker Juliane Gathrat were both absent. Lyon rotated their squad after their mid-week outing in the Champions League, replacing internationals with more internationals. Bordeaux: Nadal, Bornes, Chatelin, Lardez, Thibaud, Fahey, Istillart (c), Karchouni, Barbance, Ali Nadjim, Cambot. Lyon scored early on thanks to a crisp long-range shot from Kheira Hamraoui (10'), but Girondines keeper Alizée Nadal then produced a series of fine saves to keep Bordeaux in the game (22', 27'). Despite her best efforts, Lyon soon widened the gap with a goal from... ex-Girondine (29'). Lyon's Dzesnifer Maroszan picked up an injury and was replaced by Saki Kumagai. Lyon eased off somewhat and Bordeaux sought to break, but kept running up against the offside trap (37') and the ever-vigilant Sarah Bouhaddi (41').  2-0 at half-time. Lyon had a few more chances in the second half, but were repeatedly thwarted by the Bordeaux back four and a fine performance from Alizée Nada. The Girondines pushed forward as best they could, but failed to create any real clear chances on goal. Despite a promising performance, Bordeaux were outclassed here. The Girondines will be determined to get back to winning ways in front of their home crowd, next Sunday at 17:30 at the Matmut Atlantique!
