Nicolas De Préville is officially a Bordeaux player! Nicolas passed his medical and signed his new contract yesterday, committing himself to the club until 2021.
Nicolas De Préville is a French striker, born on 8th January 1991 in Chambray-lès-Tours. Pacy and strong up front, he is also comfortable in a wide role.
Nicolas made his professional debut in 2009 with FC Istres. At the age of 18, he made four appearances in Ligue 2 and two in the League Cup.
The following year he made a dozen appearances in Ligue 2, but it was in 2011-2012 that his career really took off. That year he scored seven goals and provided two assists in 37 games in the second division.
The 2012-2013 campaign was another turning point in Nicolas' young career: after scoring five goals in 16 matches in Ligue 2, he was transferred to Reims in January and made ten appearances in Ligue 1, scoring one goal and creating another.
In 2013-2014 de Préville played his first full season in the top flight, with five goals and three assists in 35 appearances in all competitions. By the age of 22, Nicolas de Préville was already an essential player for Stade de Reims. He continued to progress and improve over the next two seasons, scoring 13 goals and creating 12 in 66 games in all competitions.
Moving from Reims to Lille via a stint at Belgian club KV Ostend last summer (2016), Nicolas hit his stride as an out-and-out goalscorer in 2016-2017. He scored 14 goals in 30 games in the league for Lille. So far this season, Nicolas De Préville has scored twice in four league games.
Now aged 26, Nicolas De Préville is a rapid centre forward with a formidable shooting power. He has a solid experience of the French top flight, with 31 goals in 137 appearances in Ligue 1.
