We haven't lost yet, which is an encouraging sign. girondins.com: There have been some new arrivals at the club, including a new goalkeeper. How are they fitting in? Jérôme Prior: It's going well, we've made them feel welcome. They've slotted in really quickly. So far so good! girondins.com: You've been working with Franck Chaumin since the Academy days, and now he's training the first team squad. How is your relationship with Franck? Jérôme Prior: He's an excellent coach, he's always there to help the goalkeepers. His methods keep us working and progressing. We get better all the time. girondins.com: You've been in the first team squad for a few years now. More recently, youngsters such as Gaëtan Poussin and Over Mandanda have been training with the pros to learn from your experience. What's your role in helping them progress? Jérôme Prior: As a professional, you always have to try to set a good example. We demonstrate the hard work it takes to stay at this level. But they fit in pretty naturally, they're boys who have been through the Academy and they know how it works. We've known each other for a while, they have no trouble fitting in It's always interesting to play against Spanish teams. girondins.com: What do you make of these young keepers? Jérôme Prior: They're both talented guys, now they need to keep working to improve. If they listen to the coach, they can only get better. girondins.com: This Friday you have a friendly with La Liga side Eibar, what are you expecting from that match? Jérôme Prior: I'm hoping to play, first and foremost. It's been a while since I got a game. And of course we know the reputation of the Spanish league. It's always interesting to play against Spanish teams. It's a friendly, so a chance for those of us who haven't played much to get a run-out. It's an opportunity to show what we can do. But friendlies are always a bit different. Thanks Jérôme !
