Four Girondins at the Caraïbos Lacanau Pro

Four Girondins players took some time out to visit the Caraïbos Lacanau Pro this Thursday. For help with the organisation of this year's event, an important stop on the WQS tour, the local authorities turned to Girondins Sport Events. The waiting period started on 12th August, with the final schedule for this Sunday 20th August. François Kamano, Malcom, Otavio and Cafú headed to the beach after training on Thursday to watch a few heats and check out the event village. The foursome arrived at 4pm, decked out in official event T-shirts ready to pose with club president Stéphane Martin for a photo supporting Lacanau's bid to host the surfing event for the Paris 2024 Olympics. After a quick chat with the president, the boys headed off for their tour of the stands.  François, Malcom, Otavio and Cafú posed for photos with fans, and were visibly impressed by the skimboard demonstration. Cafú decided to get stuck in and try his hand at fly surfing, much to the amusement of his team-mates. With the summer sun beating down, the boys stopped off for a much-needed drink before continuing their tour of the Lacanau Pro village. The tour ended with a chance to meet some of the surfers, with our Brazilians particularly keen to wish good luck to their fellow countrymen competing in the contest.
