Four Bordeaux players on international duty

Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basić has been called up to the Croatia first team for the first time. Head coach Zlatko Dalić yesterday announced his squad for his side's upcoming games: a friendly against Turkey in Istanbul on 11 November 2020, followed by crucial Nations League clashes with Sweden in Solna on 14 November and Portugal in Split on 17 November. Croatia are currently third in their group with three points from four games, behind Portugal, and France but ahead of Sweden.

Fellow Girondin Hwang Ui Jo will be back in action for South Korea, who have scheduled friendlies against Mexico on Saturday 14 November and Qatar on Tuesday 17 November. Both games will be played in Austria.

Wing back Youssouf Sabaly has been called up to the Senegal squad. The Lions of the Teranga will face Guinea-Bissau twice, on 11 November at 16:00 in Thiès and again on 15 November at 16:00 in Bissau. Both games are qualifiers for CAN 2021. Senegal are currently top of their group, having taken the full six points from their two games so far.

Girondins youngster Mohamed Aggoun has also been called up to the Algeria U20 squad. Head coach Saber Bensmain is gathering his squad for a training camp in preparation for the international UNAF tournament in December 2020. The camp will run from 9-13 November. It is worth bearing in mind that the winner of the UNAF tournament qualifies for CAN 2021.  Congratulations to all!
