Mixed fortunes for our internationals

Youssouf Sabaly was in action for Senegal yesterday against Guinea-Bissau. The Bordeaux star played the full 90 minutes of the 2-0 victory for the Lions de la Teranga. Senegal face Guinea-Bissau again this Sunday 15 November.

Toma Basic earned his first senior cap ! The midfielder came on in the 60th minute of the friendly match between Turkey and Croatia, an entertaining 3-3 draw. The Croats' next match is a vital Nations League tie against Sweden this weekend.

As they prepare to face Spain in the Nations League, Loris Benito's Switzerland took on the current leaders of the FIFA rankings in a friendly. Things did not quite go as planned for the Nati, with Belgium running out 2-1 winners. Loris started the game, and played 75 minutes.
