Checking in on our loanees

The Spanish midfielder is out on loan at Leganés this season, and put in a very impressive performance last weekend. He played the full 90 minutes against Alcorcón, providing the assist for the only goal of the game, scored by Sabin Merino. This 1-0 victory keeps the Legionarios 4th in the league, just 5 points behind leaders Espanyol. This was Ruben's fourth start for Leganés this season. The club is on a good run, having lost just one of their last seven matches. This weekend they travel to face Malaga. 

The young Italian started for Italy U21 against Luxembourg. The Azurri dominated the game, winning 4-0. Raoul Bellanova made way for Gianluca Fabrotta at half-time. Italy have a Euro U21 qualifying match with Sweden to look forward to this Wednesday 18 November, kick-off 17h30. Italy are currently top of their qualifying group, with 22 points from nine games. 

Alexandre Lauray and his FC Villefranche Beaujolais team-mates took on Laval last weekend. The game ended in stalemate: 0-0. Unfortunately, Alexandre did not feature in the game. Villefranche are in 16th place in the league, and travel to face 17th-placed Annecy this weekend.   Thomas Carrique and Abdel Jalil Medioub Thomas is currently on loan with CD Calahorra, while Abdel is with Portuguese side CD Tondela. Neither team played last weekend, but we will check back in on them next week.
