The Girondines put in a serious and disciplined performance this afternoon,  dominating possession from the outset. They were up against a very solid Le Havre defence who succeeded in thwarting early attempts from Ghoutia Karchouni (8’) and Katja Snoeijs (11’). Le Havre keeper Constance Picaud had the best of these opening skirmishes.

But Bordeaux were soon rewarded for their perseverance! The first goal came from Khadija Shaw, a magnificent headed effort (1-0, 36’). A few minutes later Katja Snoeijs doubled the advantage (2-0, 39’), then popped up again to make it three with an absolute rocket from 30 yards out (3-0, 41’).  Half time did nothing to slow down the onslaught, as the Girondines returned to the pitch hungry for more.

Losa soon made his first change, taking off Vanessa Gilles for Estelle Cascarino (46’). Bordeaux continued to dominate, with Le Havre offering very little threat in return. When Andréa Lardez delivered an excellent cross for Khadija Shaw, the club's record goalscorer wasted no time in adding to her tally (4-0, 56’)! Delphine Chatelin came on for Eve Perisset in the 69th minute, taking the captain's armband. As the rain began to pour, the game continued at a high tempo. The Girondines never stopped pushing forward, and Inès Jauréna soon pounced on a defensive error to fire in Bordeaux's fifth and final goal (5-0, 75’).
