One point, and the record stands! [0-0]

After a dramatic second half which saw Marseille reduced to nine men, Le Classique of the French league ended in stalemate. The Girondins could not quite do enough to tip the game in their favour. With 60 minutes on the clock, an outrageous challenged saw Benedetto sent off for an early bath. The Girondins now had two more men on the field than their opponents. They kept on pushing forward, but despite a flurry of chances (including one which rattled the post) that winning goal eluded them.

Toma Basic limped off injured late in the first half (38'), replaced by Mehdi Zerkane. Both Rémi Oudin (30') and Mehdi Zerkane (45') missed the target in this first period. After the break, Bordeaux did a better chances of creating chances on goal. Benoît Costil kept the Girondins in the game with a superb save (49'), and barely a minute later Laurent Koscielny cleared a shot by Germain off the line (50'). Five minutes later the visitors were down to ten men. Five more minutes and they were down to nine.  

Shortly before the second sending-off, Ui-Jo Hwang hit the post (59'). Hatem Ben Arfa then missed the target twice (69', 82'). Substitute Nicolas De Préville also had two chances, neither of which were on target (70' and 90+2). The scoreboard remained stubbornly empty, and Bordeaux and OM shared the points.
