The Club and fans express their support for amateur football

Saïd Ennjimi, President of the Ligue de Football de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, accompanied by a number of District Presidents, visited the Château du Haillan this afternoon and sat down with Frédéric Longuépée, Alain Roche et Ulrich Ramé. Amateur football has been enduring turbulent times since the onset of the pandemic, and the FC Girondins de Bordeaux, through our charitable foundation Cœur Marine et Blanc, were keen to help. A cheque for €44,000 was presented to the President of the LFNA.

The club is pleased to be able to express its enduring support for amateur football, but we'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our many supporters. When the 2019/20 was abruptly cut short, season ticket-holders and Members of the Girondins Network generously agreed to waive reimbursement and donate the money to the Club's charitable foundation. Thanks to the generosity of these fans, we have been able to set up a solidarity programme which will now benefit amateur football, among many other worthy causes.
