The Girondins delivered a dominant performance to take all three points in Dijon. Ui-Jo Hwang scored twice in the first half (33' and 44'), with Nicolas De Préville adding a third after the break (50'). Konate's late consolation effort changed nothing (90') - this was Bordeaux's day.
In light of recent pressures, the boys in blue could have been forgiven for looking nervy. Quite the opposite! Bordeaux were simply too strong for Dijon this afternoon.

The first warning shot came in the 13th minute, when Dijon keeper Racioppi managed to push away Loris Benito's header. Three minutes later, Samuel Kalu was forced off with an injury. A blessing in disguise: he was replaced by Nicolas De Préville, who went on to have a hand in all three of Bordeaux's goals.
After taking a clear lead courtesy of Ui-Jo, early in the second half Nicolas De Préville really settled this game in favour of the Girondins. More good news came in the 65th minute, when Toma Basic made his first appearance since coming back from injury.

Konate managed to sneak a late consolation effort for the hosts, but the damage was already done. Three precious points for the Girondins and another tough afternoon for bottom-placed Dijon. Those goals will provide a much-needed boost of confidence going into the game against Montpellier next weekend. Bravo boys!
