Vanessa Gilles is enjoying a goo run of form with Canada. The central defender started against Wales yesterday, a game which ended in a decisive 3-0 victory for the Canadians. Deanne Rose (25'), Evelyne Viens (59') and Jessie Fleming (63') got the goals. Vanessa now has three senior caps with the national side, and will hoping to earn her fourth against England on Tuesday.

The Dutch women's side slipped to a narrow defeat in Spain (1-0). Patricia Guijarro got the sole goal of the game in the first half. Katja Snoeijs was an unused sub, but will be hoping to feature in the next friendly - against Australia.

Les Bleues put on a brilliant display against England (3-1). Goals came from Baltimore (32’), Katoto (82’) and ex-Girondine Viviane Asseyi, from the penalty spot (63’). One current Bordeaux player started the game, with Ella Palis picking up her 2nd full cap. She played for an hour before making way for team-mate Inès Jaurena, the midfielder's first appearance for France since 2017 (and third cap in total). Eve Perisset was another late sub (85’), while Julie Thibaud remained on the bench.
