Official Statement

This Tuesday 13 April saw another meeting of the consultation committee created at the request of the mayor of Bordeaux. Supporters, former players and presidents, partners and employees representing the Club discussed the creation of a special logo to mark the club's 140th anniversary. It was agreed that this new crest will abide by a number of clear criteria: > The "historic" navy blue > A white chevron, as featured on the old logo > The club's full name: FC GIRONDINS DE BORDEAUX > A mention of the club's date of foundation: Est. 1881 > Sans serif font > A reference to the 140th anniversary (1881-2021) With our dear Club currently experiencing a crisis on many levels, and sources of optimism somewhat hard to come by, the progress and consensus achieved on this project are a genuine source of satisfaction.  We all look forward to better days.  Allez Bordeaux The Consultation Committee
