The Girondins slipped to defeat in Nantes, in what could yet prove to be a crucial game in the relegation battle. Coulibaly (18'), Louza (50') and Kolo Muani (69') got the goals for Nantes, ensuring that Bordeaux's fate hangs on our final two games.
Coulibaly fired the Canaries into the lead early in the first half, with a well-placed header that left Benoît Costil with no chance (1-0, 18'). The Girondins struggled to impose themselves on the game, with the only chances of note a stray shot from Mexer (35'), an effort from Ui-Jo Hwang which Lafont stopped with his knee (39') and another off-target attempt from Youssouf Sabaly (45').

Shortly after the break, Louza scored Nantes' second goal from the penalty spot and piled yet more pressure on the Girondins (2-0, 50'). The hosts were completely dominating the game, despite Bordeaux's best efforts.
Jean-Louis Gasset decided to roll the dice for the last half hour, sending on Amadou Traoré, Nicolas De Préville, Rémi Oudin and Paul Baysse to replace Sékou Mara, Mehdi Zerkane, Tom Lacoux and Mexer (58').

Kolo Muani's 69th-minute goal effectively put the game to bed. Appiah very nearly made it four, but his shot rebounded off the bar (86'). The Girondins were well beaten today, and now have two matches left to save their season - and their top flight status.
