Two of our Academy teams were finally allowed to play competitive games this weekend. The U19s and U17s both faced their counterparts from FC Lorient at the Stade Municipal de Boufféré.

The U19s beat Lorient 2-1 on Saturday, with Lenny Pirringuel and Luc Essiena getting the goals.
Matthieu Chalmé's side have only been able to play four games since January: two wins, one draw and a defeat.

A frantic game for the U17s!

Sylvain Blaquart's U17s were narrowly beaten by Lorient in a nine-goal thriller which ended 5- 4 in the hosts' favour. The Girondins had a little help from a Lorient own goal, to which Marwane Tahar added a brace and Anthony Koko a fourth.
The U17s have played five friendlies since January and the results have been broadly positive: three victories and two defeats.
