Four young players leave the Club

After eight seasons with the Girondins de Bordeaux, Over Mandanda is finally leaving Bordeaux. The goalkeeper joined our Academy in 2013, rising through the ranks to sign his first professional deal in 2018. He has since spent spells on loan with US Créteil-Lusitanos (3 matches) and Stade Lavallois this season (2 matches), and his contract has now expired. A respectful and hard-working young player, we wish Over all the best as he looks for a new sporting challenge for the next stage of his career.

Ibrahima Diarra is in a similar situation - professional since May 2018, the young winger is a fellow graduate of the Girondins Academy. He also went out on loan to US Créteil-Lusitanos in the 2019-2020 season, making 7 appearances in the National division and scoring one goal. Like Over, Ibrahim is a Bordeaux boy through and through and we wish him all the very best for his future career.

Daouda Diallo is also off to pastures new. Daouda's story so far has been full of ups and downs. After joining the Academy in 2018, he fell seriously ill and was hospitalised in March 2019, keeping him out of action for several months. He subsequently picked up an injury. In spite of all these obstacles, Daouda battled back to fitness. We hope that he will find a new sporting challenge worthy of his talent, and above all we wish him goof health.

Last but not least, we bid farewell to David Kong Cardoso. Since joining the club in 2019 he has featured in a few pre-season friendlies for the first team and become a regular feature of the reserve side. Now aged 26, David is looking for a new club. We wish him all the best for the rest of his career.
