Tidiane Malbec signs first pro deal

The Girondins de Bordeaux are delighted to have secured the signature of Tidiane Malbec, who has put pen to paper on his first professional deal. The young goalkeeper has signed a one-year deal which will run until June 2022. Born in November 2001 in Talence, Tidiane is a graduate of the Girondins Academy. He started out with local clubs Coqs Rouges and Mérignac-Arlac, where he was spotted by our scouts and brought into the youth set-up in 2013-2014, at the age of 12.

He has since worked his way up through the ranks, thanks in large part to his excellent attitude and hard work. He spent pre-season with the first team squad last year, and featured in our video showcasing some of the most promising young players of Bordeaux's new generation.

This new contract comes in recognition of his dedication and regular progress. The club is pleased that Tidiane will be on board next season, and we look forward to watching him progress and discover life at the top level.
