Issouf Sissokho signs three-year deal

Issouf Sissokho has officially signed for the Girondins de Bordeaux ! Issouf has been on loan with us since January 2020 with an option to buy. The club has now exercised this option and the midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year deal (until 2024) Born in January 2002 in Bamako (Mali), Issouf played for CFC Daoula in Bamako before being scouted by the Derby FC youth academy. After a run of impressive performances with the Reserves, Issouf has earned himself a permanent deal.

Last season, Issouf stepped up to the first-team squad and made his Ligue 1 debut against Metz (1-2). He made a total of 6 appearances, and scored his first goal against Lorient (4-1). Already an U20 international with Mali, Issouf has shown signs of great promise and will now be settling permanently in Bordeaux to continue that progression. The Club is delighted to have Issouf on board for the next three years.
