A draw in our final friendly [1-1] !

The Girondins rounded off their pre-season friendlies with a draw (1-1) at the Stade l'Aube  in Troyes. Jimmy Briand got a late equaliser, in a game which saw Otavio make his return from injury in the 75th minute.   With 90 minutes on the clock, Jimmy Briand smashed the ball into the back of the net. The Girondins pulled level, with a superb movement initiated by comeback hero Otavio. What a way to mark his return from injury! His cross was headed down by Medhi Zerkane, who then teed up Jimmy Briand for his volleyed goal.

Jimmy's volley cancelled out Tardieu's 63rd-minute goal. The second half was not short of action, with a red card for Mexer (74') and two high-octane saves from Benoît Costil. Bordeaux were focused and driven throughout. This hard-fought draw means the Girondins finish their pre-season preparations unbeaten. Players and fans alike will  now be impatiently awaiting the return of Ligue 1, next Sunday at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE !
