Weekend round-up

Marignane Gignac–Bordeaux : 1-4 The U17 National side travelled to the south-east to face Marignane Gignac. They got off to an excellent start, with Mehdi Harfi scoring twice in the first half (14’ ; 45’). Just after the break, Dylan Kassa pulled one back for the hosts (49’). Two more goals from Bayiha Biumla sealed victory for the Girondins (50’ ; 82’), a result which leaves them neck-and-neck with Montpellier and Toulouse at the top of the table.

Bordeaux–Orthez : 8-3 The U17 Regional side faced Orthez in their 3rd league game of the season, which they dominated throughout. This emphatic victory puts them top of the table.

Tours–Bordeaux : 0-0 The U19 National side played out a goalless draw in Tours in their 8th outing of the season so far.

Bordeaux-Nantes : 0-2 The girls faced Nantes in a top of the table clash, and got off to a disastrous start when the visitors nicked an early goal (2’). After a hard-fought encounter, Nantes scored a second goal late-on to seal the result (76’).

Niort–Bordeaux : 0-1 The Reserves faced Niort in their 5th league game of the season, racking up an important away win. The goal came from the penalty spot, with Junior Mwanga doing the honours (25’). This result leaves Bordeaux top of the table.

Eysines-Bordeaux : 0-7 The reserves faced local rivals Eysines in their 5th game of the season, cruising to an emphatic victory. The Girondines' second side are currently joint top of their league, with Mazères Uzos.
