The Girondines got off to a good start, with Eve Périsset finding Ines Jaurena from an early corner. Dijon keeper Solène Durand did well to tip the ball wide (7’). A few minutes later, Bordeaux were back on the attack. Katja Snoeijs deftly shrugged off her marker and laid off the ball for Andréa Lardez. Her cross found Eve Périsset, who shot for the front post but was once again thwarted by the keeper (11’).

Eventually, Bordeaux's efforts were rewarded when Mélissa Gomes found the net with the help of a superb assist from Eve Périsset (1-0, 14’). Five minutes later, Maëlle Garbino fired in a cross-cum-shot which ended up in the side netting. Back at the other end, Mylène Chavas saved the team twice in quick succession: first by coming off her line well to snatch the ball from Rose Lavaud, then again with a spectacular save (24’, 31’)

The Girondines continued to push forward, with Maëlle Garbino trying her luck from the edge of the box (33’), Ella Palis having a go from 30 yards out and Ines Jauréna coming close with a volley (36,’ 41’) But they failed to make those chances count, and paid the price for it just before the break. Mylène Chavas won her one-on-one with Rose Lavaud and pushed the ball away, only for Desire Oparanozie to pounce and finish the job (1-1, 44’).

Bordeaux created two more chances early in the second half, the first of which came when Eve Périsset picked out Ines Jauréna unmarked in the middle. Her volleyed effort was just wide of the mark (47’). Périsset soon floated in another of her signature precision crosses, this one for Katja Snoeijs, but the Dijon keeper intervened (50’). André Lardez teed up Melissa Gomes with a lobbing pass, but Gomes was unable to get a decent shot away (62’).

Patrice Lair decided to shake things up a bit, bringing on Julie Dufour and Mickaëlla Cardia for Ella Palis and Melissa Gomes (67’, 72’). The Girondines were totally dominating this game by now, pinning Dijon back inside their own half. But the winning goal somehow never came, despite the best efforts of Ines Jauréna who was once again denied by the superb Solène Durand (75’). A series of probing crosses came to nothing (76’, 78, 83’, 90’).
