Another winning weekend for our youth sides!

Although the Reserves and the U17 Regional team saw their games postponed, three matches did take place this weekend.

For their Coupe Gambardella debut, the U19s were 4-1 winners in Tours. Bordeaux got off to a bright start with an early goal from Lenny Pirringuel (24’), before Les Ciel & Noir equalised courtesy of Chrislain Laurence (42’). The Girondins then settled the game in the space of two minutes, with goals from Julien Vetro (74’) and Luc Elvine Essiena Avang (76’). Mehdi Harfi added a fourth late on (87’), rounding off an emphatic win for the young Girondins.

Bordeaux beat La Roche-sur-Yon 2-1, with goals from Serena Pinto de Queiros (25’) and Maëlys Legrand (30’). This puts the girls second in Group D, behind Nantes, qualifying them for a knock-out round tie to decide who will progress to the Elite Division. The Girondines will learn the name of their opponents during today's draw.

The women's reserve side thrashed local rivals Stade Bordelais 10-1, moving up to third place in the league, separated from the top two by goal difference alone.
