Born in March 1997 in Zaporizhya, Ukraine, Danylo Ignatenko started out with his hometown club.
Between 2015 and 2022 he moved between a succession of Ukrainian clubs, from Metalurg Zaporizhya to FK Mariupol, to Shakhtar Donetsk and finally to SK Dnipro-1.
In 2019 he was sent out on loan to Ferencváros TC, where he won the Hungarian league.

Stil just 24, Danylo Ignatenko is an athletic midfield battler who stand 190cm tall. He already has 114 professional appearances under his belt, including 62 in the Ukrainian Premier Liga.

Admar Lopes expressed his satisfaction at snapping up Danylo from Shakhtar Donetsk: "Danylo is a young player with bags of potential, which makes him a perfect fit for our vision of the club's future.
