Four Bordeaux players called up for France

Corinne Diacre named her France squad this morning, for the two upcoming fixtures against Wales and Slovenia. Four Girondines made the cut: Mylène Chavas, Eve Périsset, Charlotte Bilbault and Ella Palis.

Currently top of their qualifying group, Les Bleues have two big games ahead of them. With 18 points, France are five points clear of Wales in second place. Slovenia are in 3rd place with 13 points.

Two victories would guarantee France's qualification for the 2023 World Cup. The first game is an away trip to Wales, to be played in Llanelli (Parc y Scarlets). Kick-off is set for 20:45 on Friday 8 April 2022. France will then host Slovenia at the MMArena in Le Mans on Tuesday 12 April 2022 at 21:10.
