The Girondins were narrowly beaten on Saturday evening by local rivals Stade Bordelais (1-2). Moudja Sié Ouattara scored Bordeaux's only goal. Already top of the league before this match, Stade Bordelais have now officially secured promotion to National 2 next season. This second consecutive defeat, after the upset in Anglet last week, leaves the Girondins in 5th place on 36 points, three points off 3rd place. Matthieu Chalmé's side will have an opportunity to get back to winning ways next week when they travel to face Lège Cap-Ferret (9th place, on 24 points).

The U17 Regional side came out on top in a goalfest in Marmande (3-4). Ange Gobe and Nathan Moineau scored two goals apiece. This victory puts the Girondins in 2nd place in the league on 37 points, nine points behind leaders Stade Bordelais. They are also 11 points clear of Villenave in third place. The U17s will be back in action on 21 May, taking on Croisés de Bayonne at home.
