Youth teams: weekend round-up

On Saturday afternoon, Matthieu Chalmé's side got back to winning ways with victory over US Chauvigny. The Girondins raced to a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Émilien Makagni, Lenny Pirringuel, Logan Delaurier-Chaubet and Cehaib El Moutawakil. This result saw Bordeaux leapfrog Chauvigny into 5th place, with 39 points.

Also on Saturday, Romain Lacombe's side rounded off their season with a superb 4-1 win over the Croisés de Bayonne. Vennettilli, Gobe, Didehi and Bertaux all found the net, helping the young Girondins to finish their 2021/2022 campaign in 2nd place with 40 points. The boys still have the Coupe de Nouvelle Aquitaine U17 to look forward to, with a quarter-final against Saintes next Saturday (28 May) at the Plaine des Sports du Haillan, kick-off 3pm.

Our youth sides played two games back to back at the Stade Cruchon de Mérignac on Saturday. At 13:30, our U12F side lost 3-1 to Mérignac-Arlac. At 15:00, the U18F beat their Mérignac counterparts by 4 goals to 1. There was more success for the Bordeaux girls at Stade Émile Miart in Blanquefort, where the U13s beat SA Mérignac 8-5, and the U14 smashed US Vallée de Garonne 8-0.
