Youth teams: weekend round-up

The U17s are through to the semi-final of the Coupe de Nouvelle-Aquitaine ! Thanks to two goals from Diallo and a third from Moineau, Romain Lacombe's side were 3-1 winners over ES Saintes. The cup campaign rolls on, and the young Girondins will now face FC Chauray in their semi-final, to be played in Chauray this Saturday 4 June at 15:00.

Bordeaux thrashed Rennes 6-1 this Sunday (at Cercle Paul Bert Football Bréquigny). Serena Pinto de Queiros scored twice, and Ambre Basser Drunet, Marion Haelewyn, Maelys Legrand and Elisa Gonthier all found the net. Romain Vitry's side thus rounded off the Excellence phase of the women's U19 championship with a total of 19 points, just one point behind league champions La Roche-sur-Yon. The U19s will continue to compete in the National division next season.

This Sunday, the U14 girls finished 4th in the U15F tournament held at the Stade du Jard in Mérignac. Also on Sunday, the U15s drew 1-1 with FC Nantes in a friendly match at Le Haillan.
