Youth team round-up - a successful weekend

This Saturday, in their 26th and final game of the season, Bordeaux's reserves were 3-2 winners at the Stade de la Montée-Rouge, Châtellerault. With goals from Cehaib El Moutawakil, Marvin De Lima and Julien Vetro, Matthieu Chalmé's side finished the season on a high note. With 13 victories, 3 draws and 10 defeats, the Girondins finished the season in 4th place with 42 points. The youngsters have scored 41 goals this season, conceding 30. These stats make them the 6th most prolific attacking side and the 3rd best defence in their group (National Division 3, Region A) for the 2021-2022 season.

The U17s are through to the final of the Coupe de Nouvelle-Aquitaine! Romain Lacombe's side beat Chauray 5-3 on Saturday, booking their place for the big game! The Girondins will face local rivals Jeunesse Villenavaise, who swept aside Stade Bordelais 3-0. The final will be played on Saturday 11 June, kick-off at 11:00 on the Plaine des Sports Laurent Ricci, Saint-André-de-Cubzac. Allez Bordeaux !
