Vital Nsimba signs for Bordeaux!

Vital Nsimba was born in July 1993 in Cacuaco (Angola), moving to the south-west of France as a young boy. Football mad from an early age, he was a star of his local youth team and joined the Girondins Academy in 2010. Under the watchful eye of Patrick Battiston and Marius Trésor, Vital spent three seasons with Bordeaux alongside other young prospects including Salif Sané, Fabien Farnolle and Emiliano Sala. In 2013 he swapped the Girondins for Guingamp. He was sent out to Luçon on loan in 2014-2015 and made his professional debut in the National league (24 matches).  

Vital's strong performances in the third tier caught the eye of many clubs, and finally earned him his first proper professional contract in 2015, with Bourg-Peronnas. He became a stalwart of the team at Bourg, making 103 appearances in all competitions (1 goal, 12 assists), 92 of which came in Ligue 2. After three seasons in the Ain, Vital moved to Clermont Foot. In his four years with CF63, the left back established himself as one of the finest defenders in the league, became a key component of the team that won promotion to Ligue 1, and last season made 34 appearances in the top flight (one goal, four assists). All in all he made 127 appearances for Clermont (1 goal, 16 assists).

Now 29, Vital is a seasoned athlete with 250 professional appearances to his name (including 178 in L2). Dynamic and pacy, he also has the ability to deliver regular assists with his left foot. He has represented Congo (1 cap) internationally. Vital is now ready to return to his boyhood club, bringing with him his considerable talent and excellent attitude.
