Paul Baysse appointed as Club Ambassador

The Girondins de Bordeaux are pleased to announce that Paul Baysse has been appointed to a new role as Club Ambassador. Having turned professional some 16 years ago, Paul has decided that the time is right to bring his long and eventful playing career to an end. His retirement will also free up the club's recruitment opportunities, and give some of the younger players emerging from the Academy a chance to show what they can do. Paul will now act as the club's representative with partners from the business world and local communities, while also studying for his coaching badges. He replaces Laurent Koscielny in this ambassadorial role, with the former captain now formally leaving the club after agreeing terms. Laurent Koscielny is keen to pursue a number of personal projects, and we wish him every success. The club would like to thank Paul for his hard work and dedication as a player, and for taking on this new role.
